The Masce cocktail was served for the first time at a dinner upstairs at Gjelina (Venice, CA) to 11 special Masce guests. The Masce cocktail is a twist on the classic libation, The Last Word. The addition of Matcha Green Tea highlights the herbaceous Green Chartreuse, while harmonizing with the botanical flavors found in the gin. Fresh lime contributes acidity and balance while the Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur provides a subtle, cherry undertone. Finishing with a splash of Fever Tree Tonic lightens the cocktail while intensifying the drink’s unique, bright green color. Color is, afterall, a luxury.
